Petroleum products in the country are likely to be expensive again

As of October 1, petroleum products run the risk of becoming more expensive in the country. According to sources, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) sent a summary of the increase in prices of petroleum products to the Petroleum Division. Sources said the price of gasoline could rise by 5.25 rupees per liter.

The final decision on the prices of petroleum products will be made by the Ministry of Finance in consultation with the Prime Minister.

The sources have said that the evolution of the prices of petroleum products will depend on the oil tax and the GST. Currently, the oil tax on gasoline is Rs 5.62 per liter, while the diesel tax is Rs 5.14 per liter.

Remember that on September 15 the government raised the prices of petroleum products.

The price of gasoline has increased by Rs 5 per liter, while the price of diesel has increased by Rs 5 per liter.
