Modern omecron-specific vaccine trial begins

Moderna has started a clinical trial of a specific coronavirus vaccine similar to omecron using its first volunteer.
Moderna announces the start of a clinical trial of the vaccine.
Moderna launched the clinical trial a few days ago when Pfizer/BioNTech also launched a trial of an Omicron-type targeted vaccine.
Data released by the company some time ago indicates that two doses of its original source vaccine are struggling to control the omikron type of virus.
This is due to omecron-like mutations that help the virus fight off antibodies.
An overdose or booster dose of the vaccine significantly restores the virus's ability to fight it, while the vaccine's protection weakens over time but lasts at least 6 months.
In light of this, Moderna CEO Stephen Bensell said in a statement that the Omicron type is such a threat that the company has scheduled a special recall against it.
The company is testing the Omicron booster in two groups.
The first group is made up of people who received 2 doses of the original Moderna vaccine, while the second group is made up of people who also used booster doses after finishing vaccination.
Each group will consist of 300 people, and the company has already said that the Omicron Booster data could be ready by March.
According to Stephen Bensell, after the start of the clinical trial, the company should be able to share data with regulators in March.
“The vaccine is complete and will enter the clinical phase in the coming weeks. We hope to have data by March that will be shared with regulators to determine next steps."
Moderna is developing another single-dose vaccine that is a combination of the Code 19 booster dose and the experimental flu vaccine.
Moderna's CEO said that in a best-case scenario, the combined cod and flu vaccine will be available in at least some countries in the fall of 2023.
"Our goal is to make a booster vaccine available every year so we don't have to deal with issues like some people avoiding two or three doses in the winter," he said.
