Pakistani fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi won the ICC's Sargar Field Sobers award. Shaheen is the first Pakistani player to win the Sargar Field Sobers award.

Shaheen Shah Afridi received the award for his outstanding performance, winning 78 wickets at an average of 22.20 in 36 matches in 2021.

Shaheen Afridi said on the occasion that the Pakistani team's performance in 2021 was excellent.

The Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for International Cricket Council (ICC) Player of the Year included fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi and batsman-keeper Muhammad Rizwan, as well as England captain Joe Root and New Zealand captain Ken Williamson.
