Punjab Health Minister Dr. Rashid said that the Omi Crone variant of Corona does not affect vaccinated people much. After a meeting with the NCOC, it will be decided to give a free booster dose to the elderly.

He said he was paying attention to the Omi Crown variant. According to scientific information, Omega Crohn does not affect infected people much.

"We are fighting Corona," he said. We are reviewing the situation. We are currently meeting with the NCOC to decide what to do next.

The provincial minister said 58% of the Punjab population has been vaccinated against the crown. The fairgrounds are closed due to the small number of people.

Addressing a polio-free event in Lahore, Yasmeen Rashid said that the polio campaign was badly affected last year due to covid. This year there have been five campaigns against polio. More than 10 million children have also been vaccinated during the measles and rubella campaign.

"If no case of polio is reported for two years, we will be included in the list of polio-free countries," he said.
