Former MP Bushra Rehman has died at the age of 78. Bushra Rehman died of corona. Confirming his mother's death, his son said that his mother had been ill for some time and was also suffering from corona.
Bushra Rehman was born in Bahawalpur in August 1944. She began her political career in 1983 and was elected three times to the Punjab Provincial Assembly. She was also a deputy to the National Assembly for the seat of the PML-N.
He has also written plays for PTV and private productions and experimented with the fishing genre. His novels and fictions were particularly appreciated by women. Many collections of his fictions have been published. In 2007, he received the Sitara-e-Imtiaz Presidential Award.
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar, while expressing sadness at the passing of Bushra Rehman, said that Bushra Rehman was his own unique and superior writer. His literary services will be remembered forever.
