According to the report, two people, including a nine-year-old boy, were killed and 25 others were injured in the blast. The injured boy had reached his relatives from Karachi in Lahore.

As soon as the explosion was reported, a large number of rescue teams rushed to the scene and took the injured to Mayo Hospital for medical treatment.

Following the explosion, security forces cordoned off the area and evacuated all unauthorized persons from the affected area, while a demining team also visited the site and launched an investigation.
