Five people were killed and two others wounded by gunshots between two groups in Bannu. Among the dead were a father and two sons.

Police said two groups exchanged gunfire in Bannu's Garhi Sher Ahmed neighborhood over a dispute over a ban on aerial fire.

Police said five people were killed instantly, including a father and two sons, while two others were injured.

Police said the injured were taken to hospital.
