Islamabad airport: drug trafficking attempt worth millions of rupees

Attempts to smuggle drugs abroad were thwarted at the Islamabad airport. The ASF recovered 3.5 kg of frozen heroin worth Rs 4 million in the bag of a passenger bound for Abu Dhabi.

According to ASF, the passenger Noor Mall hid heroin in his bag, which is worth around 40 million Pakistani rupees. The drug trafficker was turned over to the ANF for further actions, including the seized heroin.

Four weeks ago, the ASF thwarted a drug smuggling attempt outside the Islamabad airport. During the check, 3.5 kg of heroin were recovered from the passenger's suitcase.

Passenger Jahanzeb Khan wanted to fly from Islamabad to Abu Dhabi via flight EY232, the drugs were cleverly hidden in bags.
