Mother of former national team fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar dies

The mother of former fast bowler and national team captain Shoaib Akhtar has died. There are reports that Shoaib Akhtar's mother was rushed to hospital due to health problems, but was unable to recover.

On the social media site Twitter, former fast pitcher Shoaib Akhtar, while announcing the passing of his mother, said that his mother had passed away from Reza Elahi and that her funeral prayers were offered at the H-8 d 'Islamabad after Asr's prayers today.

Personalities from other fields, including national and international sports figures, have expressed their sorrow for the passing of Shoaib Akhtar's mother and prayed for his mother's forgiveness.

My mother passed away from Mohtarma Reza-e-Ilahi.
Funeral prayers will be offered at H-8 followed by Asr prayers.

My mother, my all, with the will of Allah taala, departed for the heavenly abode.
Namaz e janaza will be at H-8 after Asar prayers.
