Ertugrul Ghazi's "Artak Bay" dies

Ibrak Pekchen, the actor who starred in the popular Turkish drama series Derelish Ertugrul, which aired on PTV as Ertugrul Ghazi, has died.
Mehmet Bozdag, director and producer of Ertugrul Ghazi, shared the news of Ibrak Pekchen's death on social media.
He wrote: "Our beloved Ibrak Pekchen, who added to the spirit with his performance in Ertugrul, has passed away. I pray to Allah for my brother's mercy and patience for the family and fans."
Ibrak Pechen was born on May 22, 1970 and has been working as an actor since 2001.
Nahoon has shown the essence of acting in many movies and dramas.
He gained worldwide fame for his role as Irkat Bay in Derelish Ertugrul, which first appeared in the second season of the play and remained a part of it until the fifth season.
In 2010, he won awards at national and international film festivals for his film Saç, while in a 2012 film he received the Best Supporting Actor award at the Ankara International Film Festival.
According to Turkish media, the actor died of lung cancer, which he confirmed on his social media account in October 2021.
As his condition worsened last week, he was admitted to intensive care at a hospital in his hometown of Mersin, where he died on January 24.
Please note that Ibrak Pekchen arrived in Pakistan in January 2021.
He came to Pakistan with actor Nooruddin Sonmir, who played the role of Bamsi in Ertugrul, and also attended the Pak-Turkish Ma'arif Foundation event.
The history of Derelish Ertugrul dates back to before the establishment of the Ottoman Empire in the 13th century, which revolved around a brave Muslim general named Ertugrul, also known as Ertugrul Ghazi.
The coin shows how, in the 13th century, the Turkish general Ertugrul valiantly fought against the Mongols, Crusaders and oppressors and maintained a series of victories.
