Rising oil prices on the world market

The rise in global oil prices was due to supply disruptions, tensions in Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
Brent crude rose 0.1.07 to 91.91.10 a barrel, according to the news agency. US West Texas Intermediate crude rose 1.07 to 87.89 a barrel.
Tensions between Russia and the West have also affected crude prices. Russia, the world's second-largest oil producer, and the West are at loggerheads over Ukraine, raising fears of a disruption to Europe's energy supply.
