President Arif Alawi has accepted the resignation of Shahzad Akbar as adviser.

Shehzad Akbar had announced his resignation in a statement on Twitter on January 24, saying he had sent his resignation to Prime Minister Imran Khan.

He said he would remain associated with the party and continue to contribute as a member of the legal community.

However, now with the President's approval, the Cabinet Division has issued an official notification of Shehzad Akbar's resignation.

According to the sources, following the resignation of Shehzad Akbar, Prime Minister Imran Khan held consultations on the names of the accountability advisers. The final decision in this regard will be made by the Prime Minister himself.
