Lahore Chamber Senior Vice President Mian Rehman Aziz Chan has been appointed by the Federal Tax Ombudsman as Honorary Case Coordinator.

This is the first time that a representative of professional organizations from the Federal Tax Attorney's Office participates in decision-making.

Mian Rehman Aziz Chan, Senior Vice President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), was Vice President of the FPCCI.

He comes from an industrial family and is also a corporate lawyer with extensive experience in various areas of law. Not only does he have extensive litigation experience, but he is also an expert in tax matters.


He is a graduate of the University of London, National Defense University, International Trade Officers Academy, Beijing China and University of Government College, Lahore.

On the occasion, Mian Rehman Aziz Chan said that the Federal Tax Ombudsman's decision will benefit taxpayers.

Their problems will be solved and repression, harassment of merchants, attacks on businessmen and acts of stealth will be effectively reduced. He said the appointment would improve taxpayer access to the federal tax ombudsman.

He said it would be beneficial for business activities as well as the business environment in the country.

Mian Rehman Aziz Chan said that the FTO was established to provide immediate and free redress for complaints resulting from corruption or mismanagement by tax officials.

He said that taxpayers facing arbitrary and discriminatory conduct, delays, incompetence, repeated notices, unnecessary appeals and lengthy hearings will now be relieved.

He said that problems related to illegal tax collection methods will also be resolved.

He said hard-pressed taxpayers would also get help from the tax authorities.
