PM meets Chinese President Xi Jinping, discusses energy sector reform, investment

Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is in Beijing for a visit to China, met with the Chinese president before leaving for Pakistan.
Prime Minister Imran Khan yesterday attended a lunch hosted by Chinese President Xi Jinping. On this occasion, he met with his Chinese counterpart and also had an online meeting with the president of China Energy and Engineering Corporation and Power China.
The meeting reportedly focused on improving the energy sector and investments in Pakistan.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, Planning Minister Asad Umar and Trade Counselor also attended the occasion.
Prime Minister Imran Khan also reportedly met with the President of Uzbekistan in China.
Recall that Prime Minister Imran Khan also met with the heads of important Chinese institutions.
The meetings also decided to establish digital, health, commercial and industrial corridors, while taking stock of the progress of ongoing C-Pack projects.
